Omiš is a charming little town set in a picturesque location on the Adriatic coast, where the Cetina River and the Adriatic Sea meet in a breathtaking embrace surrounded by the dramatic Omiš Dinara mountains.
Those high cliffs once served as a stronghold for Omiš pirates who controlled regional maritime trade in the Middle Ages, which is why the town is still called the ‘town of pirates’. Omiš is the perfect town for history lovers, nature enthusiasts, and adrenaline addicts, thanks to its proximity to mountains and the stunning Cetina River canyon.
During your historic guided tour you will discover the details of a rich and turbulent history, still clearly visible in the ruins of defensive walls, town gates and, most notably, the two impressive fortresses that overlook the town: Mirabella and Fortica.
Omiš is also famous for the Klapa Festival, a traditional Dalmatian singing event, held every summer in June and July.
After your free time in Omiš, unwind with a boat ride through the Cetina Canyon to Radman’s Mills, surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the river, the majestic mountains, and the soothing sounds of nature.
Upon arriving at Radman’s Mills, you can enjoy the surroundings, have a meal if you wish, or simply relax with a drink.
